I recently had taken my dog to a vet because i noticed a change in her attitude lately. Her face has also drooped down on the right side and swollen slightly. Her right eye no longer closes even when she sleeps.
The Vet told me that it could be a couple possible things. She said that it could be a brain tumor, seizures, or from head trauma. She has never been abused in my household but i had taken her to a kennel for a night not too long ago.
Her attitude seems fine now and shes the same old dog but im worried and i dont know what to do. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for what else to do or experiences with something like this.

Why does my dog head butt her food/bones/water dish before eating and drinking?
Ever since she was a puppy, my dog has a strange ritual where she head butts her food dish and water dish before taking small drinks or bites. It takes her almost an hour to eat her meals because of this behavior. Also, she splashes half of the water all over the floor in the process. Its not really a big deal or anything, I am just curious as to where this behavior comes from. I have read plenty on dog behavior, but this one honestly has me puzzled. She is a 3 year old Lhasa Apso with a very sweet temperment. She never guards or protects her food or toys in anyway. She also displays this behavior with her chewing bones and greenies while she is chewing them
Any thoughts?
Sounds to me like she is trying to mark it as hers. Lhasas are naturally territorial, and she is probably trying to get her smell on it to say “This is mine”. My lhasa, Tasha, used to roll and root on and head butt all of her toys and bones everyday. She just wanted to make sure that they all smelled like her.

I say we should study and understand Spiritual Quantum Entanglement. This is where the Quanta is described as one soul, the smallest subdivision of the infinite soul, Mind of God.
There is no physical reality, except as observed by a Quanta – an individual soul.
No individual souls, nothing ‘blinks out’ of the Quantum Ocean, Mind of God, no physical reality.
Let us understand that all is spirit, energy, non-physical vibration.
Let us talk about Spiritual or Soul Entanglement. And study the Laws of Resonant Frequency between souls. The rapports between souls.
It is true that each individual soul ‘blinked out’ of the Quantum Ocean, Mind of God to experience “Life” on the physical plane. It is also true that the thoughts that this individual soul chooses to believe will attract energy out of the Quantum Ocean, Mind of God into his/her aura.
The energies one carries in one’s aura attracts one’s physical reality.
What needs to be better understood is spiritual Quantum Entanglement.
This means that even though an individual soul attracts, it’s physical life by thoughts and beliefs; they are also affected by the thoughts and beliefs of others.
A belief is simply a thought that has been accepted and thought about over and over. On a conscious level a soul may be trying very hard to pick and choose the thoughts they think and to believe the beliefs that they believe in.
But in this chaotic time between the changing of one Age (Pisces) into the changing of a new Age (Aquarius) thoughts and belief systems are running rampant.
You can go out on the Net and buy a dozen new belief systems for a dollar.
During this transition time, between these two 2000 year Ages it is imperative that we all become still and know that we are souls in the Mind of God.
Let us stop and take stock of our thoughts. Where are they coming from?
From those we are vibrationally “en rapport” with, IE, family, wife, children, relatives, lovers, friends.
Or they are being electronically spewed out at us from the mass media. Every time you turn the TV on or read a newspaper, magazine, see a bill board you are being bombarded by someone else’s thoughts.
These thoughts and impressions may not necessarily affect or harm you unless you ‘believe” them. Do you believe everything you hear or see? This is a classic definition of modern day insanity.
To stay sane in these difficult transitional times, we need to embrace the idea: “Do not believe anything you hear and only 10% of what you see.”
It would be more helpful for humanity if the Quantum Scientists would study Quantum Soul Entanglement.
Teach the people more about thoughts and belief transference between living souls.

One of the most popular questions I get is how to choose the correct sized dog carrier.
Below are some questions to ask yourself before looking for a dog carrier:
Dog Weight:
Most dog carriers are good for dogs up to 12 pounds. After that, you may want to think if you really want to be carrying around a 12 pound plus dog. If so, I would look into a wheeled dog carrier or another type of carrier besides one that hangs on your shoulder. The weight on every carrier is different, so please check. If it does not say in the description, don’t be afraid to ask. If you have a very tiny dog, such as a dog less than 4 pounds, you should be able to choose any dog carrier there is.
Dog Length:
It is important to give your dog enough room to move and feel comfortable in the carrier. But at the same time you don’t want it to be too large that every time they move, they are tilting and off-setting the carrier. The best thing to do is measure your dog and add a few inches to get the correct size dog carrier. If the carrier you are interested in has a place where the head sticks out, you will not need as big of a carrier than if you were picking a carrier that is enclosed.
Carrier Purpose:
Are you looking for a carrier to just take your dog to the veterinarian’s office or are you looking for a carrier to take your dog into stores with you? I rescued a very old dog. He is a boxer around 13. He was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago and was given life expectancy of 6 months then. The people who had him were going to put him to sleep because of vet bills for his ear problems.. I knew his owner and him since he was a puppy. He’s always been very well behaved and enjoyable. He eats good, and get around fine. He loves to play and go for car rides. He is very smart. He isn’t noticably suffering and is otherwise ok for his condition, however…His ears smell bad !! I clean them with solution from the pet store, but I was wondering if anyone has any tips about how to cut down the smell.
And yes I know it’s probably some kind of infection , however he has had trouble even when he was young. We could have him put down but that would be very difficult as he is otherwise happy. Any tips ??
I have a lab who is about 9 months and her ears also smell bad. The vet has told us that she has allergies and this is causing her feet to itch (she chews on them all the time) and ears to have a yeast infection. The yeast gives off a bad smell and a brown secretion. She is now on allergy meds, which has cut down on the smell and she no longer has itchy feet. Hope this helps.

I do know that you have to be very careful when giving comfortis. It should not be administered too close to ivermectin/heartworm preventative. I have also heard about nausea and runny stools, but have not heard about liver problems. I wish you the best with your pup…
