How do you make homemade dog food?

I am pretty satisfied with commercial dog food and I have no problem sticking with it, but I would just like to know how to make nutritional homemade dog food. My dogs are a golden retriever, beagle, and dachshund if that information is needed. I would like advice also, like what supplements to put in the food, and the right portions, and a professional website would be the best. I don’t really want just homemade dog food that isn’t any better than commercial dog food. Please help out. Thanks.

Due to a recent removal of a mast cell tumor I am switching my dog to the canine cancer diet. While I don’t have any recipes to share, I might have a helpful suggestion.

My 15 year old cocker spaniel was diagnosed with brain cancer and the vet said she had 4 to 6 weeks to live. I did some research and found a study at the University of Pennsylvania that was testing the effectiveness of fish oil capsules in slowing tumor growth. I gave my dog one 1000 mg. capsule each day with her food. She lived another year to the ripe old age of 16 before the cancer finally took her. The vet called it miraculous.

Some dogs are less likely to cause allergies because they have less dander. There is a misconception that it is the fur that causes the allergies so the heavier the dog sheds the more likely you are to suffer. This is not the case. It is all about the dander. You can also receive immunotherapy allergy shots if testing showed a pet allergy to begin with although it’s not as effective as they would like to see it. You can also use over the counter medications to reduce symptoms and of course there are some excellent natural products that are worth trying if you have a dog allergy.

A dog allergy can develop out of nowhere. Or it can be something you have lived with for years that got worse over the years. Whatever the reason you now suffer with a dog allergy you can reduce the effects of that allergy using natural products and these tips.
