Vegetable Pomace (dehydrated ingredients) -

  • Carrots
  • Celery
  • Beets
  • Parsley
  • Lettuce

  • Spinach

Carrot* - Are used as an excellent source of vitamins and minerals they also provide a flavor that both dogs and cats love.

Broccoli* - Did you know that Broccoli has been shown to have health building and illness preventing potential? It is high in the antioxidants betacarotene and vitamin C and E. Not only is it rich in a range of nutrients but like other members of the cabbage family it contains certain chemicals that are know to discourage illness. Another very important fact about broccoli is that it is a rich natural source of folic acid and iron.

Apple* - Apples are rich in pectin, a soluble fiber that has been shown to reduce cholesterol. Apples are full of vitamins and minerals too.

Whole egg* - This is the highest rated source of usable protein, ranking above all meats and meat products. Shells, in powder form, are a great source of calcium carbonate, which builds strong healthy teeth.

Flax meal - flax seed is high in most of the B vitamins, magnesium, and manganese as well as omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and phytochemicals including antioxidants.

Parsley leaf - Parsley leaf herb is a chlorophyl-rich member of the carrot family. In BirkDale PetMix, it also helps freshen your dog's breath freshener.

Calcium carbonate - Calcium carbonate is an important source of calcium in pet food.

Kelp - Kelp is a general term used to describe large brown seaweeds. Seaweeds have been used throughout the world for centuries as a rich source of natural organic minerals and vitamins like iodine, potassium and calcium. The thyroid gland depends upon minerals, especially iodine, to function properly and to secrete adequate amounts of thyroxin and trilodothyronine. These hormones influence metabolic rate and body temperature. Kelp is not only rich in iodine, but is also an additional natural source of beta-carotene, B vitamins and vitamin C. This beneficial supplement helps to improve the utilization of all ingredients, thereby improving the overall health and performance of your dog. The maximum percentage of salt and minimum percentage of potassium and iodine must be declared.

Alfalfa - A southwest Asian perennial herb (Medicago sativa) having compound leaves with three leaflets and clusters of usually blue-violet flowers. It is widely cultivated as a pasture and hay crop.

Ginger root - Ginger root aids in digestion. Perhaps the best herb for digestion, ginger root prevents indigestion and abdominal cramping. Ginger also helps break down proteins, aiding the digestion process.
It alleviates high blood pressure and improves and stimulates circulation and relaxes the muscles surrounding blood vessels, facilitating the flow of blood throughout the body.
Ginger root treats nausea. Ginger has been widely shown to prevent as well as treat motion sickness. Ginger root relaxes the stomach and relieves the feeling of nausea.
It also lowers LDL cholesterol. Ginger root extract can help reduce the levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol in the body, reducing the risk of developing heart disease.

Garlic - A natural means of eliminating parasites. Garlic provides a good source of potassium, zinc, selenium, and vitamin C. Garlic has been found to have effective antimicrobial properties, inhibiting the growth of both bacteria and fungi. Garlic helps stabilize blood pressure and gives a good solid boost to the immune system, keeping at bay infections of various sorts' particularly upper respiratory tract infections.
